The four subject committees of the Assembly undertake inquiries into policy issues, during which they make visits and gather oral and written submissions.
Committees then publish their findings in the form of reports, which are endorsed and adopted at Assembly plenary sessions,
The reports are sent to the two sovereign governments and (where appropriate) the devolved administrations and the governments of the Crown Dependencies, with an invitation to make observations on the reports and the recommendations made.
